Electrical Technician•Automotive Parts Manufacturing (27028) 5.0 5.0 out of 5 stars Schaumburg, IL 60168 An international manufacturer of automotive drivetrain components is looking for a Electrical Technician to join their team at their facility near Schaumburg, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience with maintenance, programming, and modification of PLC controls and CNC machinery, as well as experience with electrical wiring for control panels. This is a direct-hire position and offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Electrical Technician Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot machinery and equipment, identifying root causes, and repair as needed Diagnose faults within electrical equipment such as PLC, CNC, control boards, switches, relays, sensors, printed circuit boards, etc. and perform necessary repairs Maintain facility electrical systems: lighting, wiring, conduits, other electrical apparatuses Install and setup equipment and machinery, observing proper safety guidelines when connecting to power Test and replace any damaged sensors Aid in the planning and layout of electrical systems, and install wiring conduits, etc. Other duties, as assigned

Electrical Technician Qualifications:

Associate degree in relevant field, or comparable combination of experience and education Prior experience maintaining PLC equipment, including Ability to read and interpret ladder logic programming, and other PLC systems Ability to read, interpret, and create electrical schematics Experience with variable frequency drives and servo control functions Prior experience with electric motors, preferably single•or 3-phase, AC, DC Comprehension of AC / DC power supply systems Availability to work off-shifts This position includes work in a manufacturing and warehousing environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear.
