Flavor isnt just what we do, its who we are. Summary/objective The HR Generalist role will provide a broad range of HR support to the organization. This could include staffing, onboarding, talent management, compensation, learning and development, performance management, organizational development, change management, employee/labor relations, HRIS data entry / administration, reporting, and other special projects as assigned. Provide full-service HR support managers, employees and applicants throughout the various lifecycle processes of employment. Assisting the recruitment and onboarding of high-quality talent capable of supporting the short and long-term needs of the business in conjunction with managers and the Staffing Specialist. Helping leaders create and implement plans which increase employee engagement and drive retention of critical talent Supporting HR projects to help improve processes, implement programs, or drive our SupHerb Farms culture. Using change management and communication skills to support leaders. Supporting HR programs, policies and processes in conjunction with partners (i.e. open enrollment, employee medical leave, compensation process) Provides leadership that results in accuracy, timeliness and service within this role, and develops the skills, behaviors and service level of team member. Manages absence tracking by training supervisors on how to effectively track points in the system. Partners with supervisor for disciplinary processes. May be involved in other disciplinary, complaint resolution, or fact-finding discussions. Assists employees with any inquiries related to HR, benefits, policies or confidential matters, referring to supervisor as appropriate. Conducts new-hire orientation; manages on-boarding. Assists the Staffing Specialist with the annual seasonal re-hire and lay-off process. Monitors effectiveness and makes recommendations. Updates company bulletin board with legal and regulatory notices. Assists HR Manager with other projects such as annual performance goal/review and salary increase process, job description updates, process improvements etc. Cross trained in all aspects of the Human Resources responsibilities-LOAs, employee relations, benefits, compensation, recruitment, and workforce planning. Basic knowledge of local, state and federal labor laws and wage orders. Supports implementation of Continuous Improvement programs, new methods, procedures, and systems to improve safety, quality and food safety and look for ways to proactively increase efficiency and contain costs. Manages operations to comply with all applicable safety, food safety and environmental laws and regulations, as well as Company safety policies, food safety and quality procedures and standards. Holds self and others accountable to all SupHerb policies, safety programs and food safety programs. Conduct safety and food safety training with direct employees. Work effectively with employees to promote positive and productive working relationships. Attend and participate in internal and external developmental training programs. Regular and predictable attendance is required. Other duties as assigned. Competencies Demonstrated leadership aptitude, team lead experience or supervisory experience. Must have excellent communication skills-both verbal and written. Proficient in MS Office programs. Experience with HRIS systems. Basic knowledge of manufacturing process. Able to show initiative and follow through on day-to-day responsibilities. Able to interact and work positively with others. Experience with ERP systems is a plus. Fluency in Spanish is a plus. Travel required 0-5% for potential external training Required education and experience 5 years of progressive human resource generalist experience in a manufacturing setting High School diploma or GED required. Bachelors degree in a related field is a plus. Professional HR certification (SHRM, HRCI) is a plus. Total Rewards Base Compensation-Based on skill, education and experience.
