Human Resources Generalist 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars 5314 N River Run Drive, Provo, UT 84604 Cascades Healthcare operates geriatric care facilities in several states. We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist for our Customer Success Center in Provo, UT. The HR Generalist for the Customer Success Center plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day human resources operations. This position oversees, trains, and supports facility HR Representatives, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and best practices. The Generalist is responsible for centralized HR processes, including onboarding, payroll support, benefits administration, workers' compensation claims, and ongoing process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Leadership and Support:
Lead, train, and serve as a primary resource for facility HR Representatives, providing guidance on HR procedures, policy interpretation, and compliance. Conduct regular audits of HR processes and employee records to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to legal requirements. Assist in the continuous improvement and documentation of HR workflows to enhance efficiency and standardization across facilities.
Onboarding and Employee Records:
Maintain and audit employee personnel files in compliance with regulatory and company requirements. Support onboarding for acquired employees, including setup, E-Verify, and eligibility verification.
Payroll and Benefits Administration:
Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely processing for all employees. Manage employee benefit enrollments, deductions, and changes; assist with COBRA administration and Open Enrollment activities. Reconcile benefit invoices and resolve discrepancies as needed.
Leave of Absence Management:
Administer FMLA and related leave programs, ensuring timely delivery of paperwork, accurate tracking of PTO, and maintenance of benefit coverage.
Employee Verifications and Compliance Requests:
Complete employment verifications, respond to wage garnishments, and process medical support orders and other compliance documentation.
Additional Duties:
Participate in special projects, HR initiatives, and other assignments as directed by the HR Manager or Vice President of HR. Foster a positive and solutions-focused culture within the Customer Success Center and supported facilities.
Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across multiple locations. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Four (4)+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources required. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or related field preferred. Experience in a Skilled Nursing, Healthcare, or multi-site environment is strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods. Ability to use standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and scanners. Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally across multiple platforms (email, video, phone).
