Electrician Job Description We are seeking qualified electricians to assist on various job sites across Hampton Roads. The specific job site will be determined by the level of experience. Responsibilities Perform electrical installation and repair operations on electrical systems and control systems Install and repair equipment relays, starters, switches, motors, motor control centers, switchgear, transformers, power distribution centers, heat tracing systems, and cable trays Determine conduit sizes, pull conductors, make terminations, and install junction boxes Support wiring and other electrical operations related to retrofits, construction projects, installations, equipment replacements, and other service projects Essential Skills Experience with conduit, wiring, blueprint reading, and conduit bending Journeyman license preferred Proficient in running rigid conduit, EMT, and PVC Journeyman/Master level experience in power and control wiring, and commercial electrical installations Ability to work independently without supervision and manage own projects Strong industry knowledge High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of NEC, applicable local codes, and OSHA safety regulations Additional Skills & Qualifications Electrical license (JM card or Master card) preferred but not required Completion of applicable trade school (preferred but not required) Why Work Here? Work Environment You will work a typical construction schedule around 7 am-4 pm, with job sites located all over Hampton Roads. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norfolk, Virginia. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
