SERVICE WORKER - FLEET MAINTENANCE DIVISION CLASSIFICATION CATEGORY

Temporary Full-Time Position - Non-Union

CLASSIFICATION

# 262 A Two (2) month Temporary, Full-time position working in the Linn County Road Department. This position may be extended as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

Service automobiles, trucks, tractors and other equipment. Keep records of service to vehicles and equipment. Change and rotate tires. Operate computers and software generally and related to finding parts, tools, and equipment; schematics, maintenance and repair procedures; documentation; and related functions. Maintain a neat and orderly work environment. Assist mechanics occasionally as assigned. Other Duties as Assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from high school or GED certificate, plus one year experience in servicing and maintaining automotive and construction equipment, or any satisfactory equivalent. Will lift up to ninety (90) pounds, work in all types of weather. Possession of a Commercial Driver License Class A, manual transmission, fifth wheel, with air brake and tanker endorsement and an acceptable driving record is preferred. COMPENSATION

$26.00 per hour
