Board Repair Technician II Location:
Orlando, FL Compensation:
up to $27/hr (+OT and Bonuses) Job Summary The Electronics Circuitry Repair Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electronic circuit boards (PCB's) and assemblies down to the component level. This role requires advanced technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair malfunctioning electronic circuits, printed circuit boards (PCBs), and related components using schematics, technical manuals, and test equipment. Perform advanced soldering, desoldering, and rework tasks on PCBs and electronic assemblies with precision and accuracy. Conduct comprehensive testing and troubleshooting procedures to identify and resolve complex issues in electronic circuits and systems. Prepare detailed reports and documentation, including test data, repair logs, and workbench instructions, using relevant software programs. Set up and calibrate various test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers, for diagnostic and repair purposes. Collaborate with sales teams, engineers, and leadership to understand customer requirements and provide technical support. Maintain a well-organized and efficient work area, ensuring proper handling and storage of tools, equipment, and components. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in electronic repair techniques, tools, and industry best practices. Participate in cross-training programs to expand knowledge and skills across different types of PCBs and electronic assemblies. Qualifications and Skills 3-5 years of experience in PCB assembly, electronics manufacturing, or a related field. Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, technical drawings, and electronic engineering documentation. Advanced soldering and rework skills, including surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole components. Strong troubleshooting abilities and experience with various diagnostic tools and techniques. Familiarity with programs used for recording test data, generating reports, and managing workbench instructions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong work ethic and commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Proficient in using computer applications such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and general computer skills. Flexibility and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes. Education and Certifications High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or technical certification in electronics or a related field is preferred.
