Job Description:
We are looking for a mini-split and plumbing specialist to join our professional team. You will be required to reliably commute to Butler, MO. We are seeking someone who is responsible for the installation of residential and light commercial mini-split HVAC systems requiring a strong understanding of refrigeration principles, electrical systems, and proper installation techniques. We also want someone who can handle a range of residential plumbing tasks, including rough-in and finish plumbing. Someone who can problem-solve, execute installations, and ensure that all work meets high-quality standards. The ability to communicate effectively is essential for success in this position.
Mini-Split Responsibilities:
Accurately size and select appropriate mini-split units based on the job needs. Perform professional and efficient installations of new mini-split systems, including indoor and outdoor unit placement and mounting, refrigerant line installation and charging, electrical wiring and connections, and system startup and testing.
Plumbing Responsibilities:
Knowledge of the IRC code requirements. Complete all rough-in and finish items pertaining to residential and light commercial systems. Install a complete plumbing system from start to finish; will be required to install faucets, drains, garbage disposals, appliances and all finish plumbing items. Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of plumbing systems. Perform pipe threading, assembly, and installation of various types of piping materials. Test for leaks using compressed air and/or water to ensure functionality and safety. Keep equipment and tools operational by following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures. Maintain safety equipment. Complete punch list items.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 2 years of experience installing mini-split systems. Refrigerant handling certification a plus. Strong knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical systems, and HVAC principles. Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in plumbing installation, maintenance and or repair of residential and commercial plumbing systems. Active and valid journeyman plumbing license is a plus. Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications. Perform duties as assigned and follow instructions. Capable of lifting or exerting force up to approximately 50 pounds and may occasionally lift or exert force equivalent to lifting, up to 100 pounds. Desire to pursue ongoing learning about new systems and materials. Exhibit problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
