Shift:
Saturday/Sunday•6:45 am to 7:15 pm and Monday/Tuesday•6:45 am to 3:15 pm Join a global leader in medical device manufacturing! We're hiring an Automation Maintenance Technician for 5th Shift operations at our Southington, CT facility. If you're passionate about high-volume automation, controls troubleshooting, and equipment uptime, this is your opportunity to work in a cleanroom environment where precision and reliability matter.
What You'll Do:
Troubleshoot and repair automated machinery and integrated systems. Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment. Support and diagnose issues with PLC logic, HMI, and vision systems. Install, modify, and optimize system performance and part changeovers. Log maintenance activities and support audits through detailed documentation. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and production teams. Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work area aligned with FDA, OSHA, ISO, and company standards. Participate in special projects and continuous improvement efforts.
What You Bring:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a technician on automated assembly equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of electrical schematics and PLC logic. Proficient use of hand/power tools and troubleshooting industrial systems. Experience with MS Office, Oracle, or similar systems preferred. Able to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and SOPs. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. High school diploma or GED required. Must be at least 18 years old.
Working Conditions:
Cleanroom manufacturing environment. Standing/sitting for long periods, depending on the machinery. Use of touchscreen terminals and data entry systems. Ability to occasionally lift to 35 lbs.
