Overnights Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Aerospace Tooling CNC Operator/Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating both 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines and a strong background in aerospace tooling. This individual will play a crucial role in producing high-quality components and tooling solutions that meet our clients' rigorous specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers) to manufacture aerospace tooling components according to technical drawings and specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and technical documents to determine machining processes and tolerances. Utilize precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to inspect parts and ensure compliance with quality standards. Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot any operational issues that arise during the machining process. Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve tooling efficiency. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company policies. Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work performed, including time sheets and quality checks. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to enhance manufacturing capabilities and reduce waste.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining/CNC operations preferred. Minimum 2-3 of experience operating CNC machines, preferably in aerospace tooling or a related field. Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics. Familiarity with various materials used in aerospace tooling (aluminum, titanium, composite materials). Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced production environment. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
