Position Specific Description Join the world's leading generator of wind, solar, and battery energy as a Senior Technician at NextEra Energy. As a Senior Technician you will be the critical front-line to ensure the safe and optimal performance of all solar and battery operations. You will primarily focus on the safe execution of field-based equipment maintenance, diagnostics, as well as long-term reliability and profitability.
Additional duties may include:
Implementing Operation Safety Policy Instructions, conducting field work in compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) applicable regulations, encourage good employee safety practices, and drive an unparalleled employee safety culture Participating in Business Lean Six Sigma processes and projects Recruiting and developing other technicians for the ongoing development of team Supporting site manager for all phases of timely safety and environmental reporting, financial reporting, power generating equipment availability. Drive site project turnover from ROI team to operations team. Collaborating closely with internal NextEra users to develop and implement operation focused feedback and solutions for planned and unplanned maintenance, improvement projects, development, and financial performance Presenting a positive professional representation of NextEra Energy in the community and with the customer Technicians in this role would be responsible to directly dispatch to sites in the Western New York region using a company vehicle. Job Overview The Site Technician will support the Regional Manager or designee to ensure the perfect execution of the PGD processes. Site Technicians in a solar region perform duties in the following but are not limited to safety, contractor management, electrical/electronic/mechanical equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance, overall site operations, asset management and regulatory compliance, reliability engineering, and inventory management. Job Duties & Responsibilities Reliability engineering Warranty management Operation and basic maintenance Electrical and power electronics troubleshooting and repairs Safety and Environmental program stewardship Supervisory duties of NEE employees and contractors Mechanical troubleshooting and repairs Business duties and Inventory management Heavy equipment operation Regulatory compliance Performs other job-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications High School Grad / GED
Experience:
3+ years Valid Driver's License (NON CDL) Preferred Qualifications Trade School Graduate Licensed Electrician Licensed Master Electrician Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified The estimated base pay for this position is $70,400.00 to $105,600.00 per year. Starting pay will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, job-related and industry knowledge and skills and education/training.
