Job Summary:
The Plant Electrician is responsible for a variety of responsibilities including safely providing maintenance support to our Council Bluffs, IA plant. Use both excellent electrical/electronic knowledge (PLCs, AC, DC motors and drives, schematics) and mechanical skills (pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, power transmission, lubrication) in our manufacturing environment. Work positively with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot. You will report to the maintenance ET Team Leader. You will work onsite in the Council Bluffs location.
Compensation:
Starting pay up to $27.275 per hour + up to $0.60 Attendance Bonus!
Essential Job Functions:
Work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for position Work holidays Regular attendance to ensure production requirements are met Read, write, communicate, and comprehend written instructions in English Knowledge of electronic testing equipment Knowledge of Planned Maintenance Work in a team environment Read and interpret electrical schematics/prints Complete work/purchase requests Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
Job Responsibilities:
Assist Lean Programs such as Set-Up Reductions and TPM. Improve Productivity Improvements (Cycle Time Reduction) in Assigned Departments by Optimizing Programming, Tooling, and Fixturing. Develop and load part programs into controller using any of the below methods: Keyboard; Computer, IE Manufacturing. Program variety of machines and controls such as: Fanuc, Siemens, Allen Bradley, GE Make machine setups. Help with New Equipment Opportunities and Installations. Install, maintain, and operate all plant electrical (e.g., switch gear, high/low voltage, drives, parts) Set-up all electronic equipment for scheduled production runs Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all electronic equipment (e.g., wiring, scales, metal detectors) Troubleshoot and program PLC's including wiring Conduct daily/weekly PM's Maintain plant lighting Troubleshoot and program CIP Fabricate custom electronic parts Implement safety devices on production lines Complete required reports (e.g., PM, Work Orders, Centerline)
Skills Required:
Experience with both electrical and mechanical environments and familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment Willingness to work overtime is required Commitment to safety Knowledge of Plant safety, GMP's, confined spaces Be
LOTO/PIT
certified Knowledge of normal/abnormal
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or GED required. College or trade school.
Experience Required:
6 months experience in an industrial maintenance environment and equivalent military experience. PLC certification preferred and journeyman license.
