Under the supervision of the Associate Investment Manager (AIM), the Investment Officer I (IO I) is the entry, development, and first working level performing the less complex investment work and will be responsible for day-to-day functions related to vendor management activities, including but not limited to investment contracting and procurement functions, reporting and data analysis related sourcing and contracting to ensure data completeness and accuracy of process. The IO I will provide end-to-end services for investment contracting support to both the Investment Office (INVO) staff and the Investment Services (IS) team through a full business cycle. The IO I will maintain a positive and collaborative team approach while demonstrating CalPERS' Core Values of Quality, Respect, Integrity, Openness, Accountability, and Balance in accordance with personal work ethic in alignment with CalPERS Investment Beliefs. Duties include but not limited to: Onsite and virtually, under the supervision of the AIM, assist Asset Class Management Investment Directors / Program Area Investment Director Contract Managers in developing, reviewing, and compiling less complex investment-related contract compliance documents, Spring Fed Pool Letters of Engagement (LOE), Statements of Work (SOW), Exemptions from Competitive Bid, Contracts, and Request for Proposals (RFP) that would add value to the CalPERS portfolio. Evaluate expenditure status, purchase orders, and expiration dates of contracts and related documents to develop recommendations for the various Contract Managers and AIM to ensure continuity of service. Can assist Contract Manager with formal and informal training as well as information-sharing sessions for INVO staff and Enterprise business partners.
