Job Description

IT Specialist Robinson Rancheria 1545 E State Hwy 20, Nice, CA 95464 Job Overview Under general supervision of the Robinson Rancheria Citizens Business Council, this position leads the planning, acquisition, implementation and operation of information technology to enable the achievement of the organization's business and administrative objectives. The IT specialist manages and stores data using computers, software, databases, networks and servers. IT is responsible for the effective design, development and implementation and operation of the technological system security landscape for Robinson Rancheria.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, manage and review the entire organization-wide security plan that protects the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the organization's data and servers. Establish and maintain a disaster recovery plan.
System Administrator:
install, configure, repair, replace, manage and operate systems, security tools, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, cell phones, surveillance cameras, software and hardware. Handle business-critical IT tasks and system improvements. Write programs, maintain networks, analyze systems and provide technical support. Research and evaluate the use of innovative technologies that will provide benefits to the organization. Lead the design, specification, configuration, installation and maintenance of local area network, hardware, software and telecommunications services and internet service providers. Serve as the subject-matter expert supporting Apple, HP, Dell, Windows and widely used software and applications, such as Microsoft Office 360, Adobe, Outlook, Google Workspace etc. Implement applications and software upgrades and diagnose, repair and troubleshoot any performance issues. Ensure electrical safety standards are met. Analyze staff needs, identify vulnerabilities and boost efficiency and accuracy of security systems Research and make recommendations on hardware, software and devices purchases and communicate with vendors to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions. Computer technician, QA analyst, DevOps, IT operations, cloud computing, cybersecurity analyst, data management and AI expert.
Desirable Qualifications:
Degree in Information Technology field Excellent organizational skills, customer service, public relations and communication skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Knowledge of Native American Tribal Government values, history and culture and ability to apply this knowledge to all communication with tribal members, other staff members and the public. Knowledge of federal laws and regulations, directives and standards so that requirements support security and privacy compliance. Experience in leadership and collaborations skills to work with business analysts, database developers, security experts, etc., to build systems and successfully implement systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to type at a rate of 50 WPM Deep knowledge of security systems, operating systems, modern equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring tools Ability to communicate and model respect for and toward all clients, tribal members, tribal officials, supervisors and co-workers. Ability to understand adherence to various program requirements, including confidentiality of information, or complex federal regulations
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED 4 years of experience developing and implementing system security landscape 4 years of experience in IT operations: system administrator, data analyst, data scientist, cybersecurity, computer engineer, network technician, etc. 4 years excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and computer hardware and software management
Conditions of Employment:

Valid state issued driver's license and/or the ability obtain a California driver's license. Individual must have the knowledge and understanding of the culture and diversity of the Native American Indian population.
