A precision manufacturer of complex, small machined components for the aerospace and power systems industries is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Control Inspector to join its team. The qualified candidate will report to the Quality Manager and is responsible for performing first piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure that all products meet customer specifications, drawings, and quality standards prior to shipment.Key Responsibilities:
Perform regular inspections of machined and assembled parts to ensure conformance to customer requirements. Create and maintain detailed records of inspection results and test outcomes . Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, program management, supply chain, and customers to maintain and improve quality standards. Inspect parts for correct identity, dimensions, and visual defects such as corrosion, cracks, dents, or surface damage. Conduct evaluations based on drawings, specifications, models, and procedures. Ensure accuracy in reviewing material and sub-contractor certifications. Interpret and follow blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and quality plans . Use a wide range of inspection tools and instruments , such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, OHM meters, impedance meters, borescopes, and other specialized gauges. Perform calibration checks on measuring equipment. Understand and apply GD&T principles , MCL/LCS certification requirements, and customer specifications.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in quality control or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control inspection, preferably in the aerospace manufacturing sector. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently or within a team. Familiarity with AS9100 andISO 9001
standards is a plus. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Experience with MCL/LCS processes is strongly preferred. Proficient in using Microsoft Office and general computer systems. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to move/lift parts up to 40 lbs . High sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment . Must read, write, and speak English fluently.Pre-Employment and Workplace Policies:
