Robert Half Desktop Support Analyst in New York
, New York Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Desktop Support Analyst based in New York. This role is an integral part of our IT team, where you will be tasked with providing technical assistance, managing hardware inventory, and participating in special projects as required. This role is essential in ensuring smooth IT operations within our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently handle IT support tickets through our Service Desk ticketing system and ensure they are addressed in a timely manner.
- Prepare and deploy computers and phones for internal moves, along with maintaining video conference rooms.
- Modify local and remote workstation configurations, utilities, and software default settings as needed.
- Proactively monitor and manage hardware inventory and e-waste disposal.
- Provide swift and effective IT support to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
- Document procedures and solutions for client-based issues.
- Participate in special projects as needed to support the wider IT team.
- Use your skills in Directory Services and Windows 10 to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Requirements
- Proficiency in Active Directory administration is mandatory
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 is required
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues
- Ability to provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter
- Must possess excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience managing and monitoring internal assets to ensure accurate inventory records
- Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple open cases at one time
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of an organization
- Strong customer service skills for direct user interaction
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a detail oriented demeanor
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team
- Flexibility to work in shifts or on-call as required
- Relevant certifications in IT, Computer Science, or a related field are preferable Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.
