Job Description

Senior Tooling Machinist Shift:
1st (6:00-2:30)

  • 40 Job Description As a Senior Machinist, you will be responsible for both tooling and production tasks.
Your expertise will be utilized in the fabrication of fixtures, studying blueprints, producing replacement tooling for in-house CNC machines, and collaborating with various departments to meet project requirements. Additionally, you will perform machine setups, make adjustments for optimal performance, and ensure quality standards are maintained. Responsibilities Fabricate various types of fixtures. Study blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to plan sequences of operations. Produce replacement tooling for in-house CNC machines. Complete setups and operate with minimal supervision. Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Maintenance to meet project requirements. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Work from process sheets, blueprints, setup sheets, setup cards, machine status boards, and verbal as well as written instructions. Perform machine setups. Download and upload programs into machines as needed. Make adjustments to offset coordinates to compensate for materials, tooling, or machine center conditions. Perform basic troubleshooting and make appropriate adjustments. Inspect own work for correct dimensions and ensure company quality and quantity standards are maintained. Complete required documentation. Rotate between various department work centers as required and perform other related duties as assigned. Enter data into ERP system. Support continuous improvement activities. Essential Skills 10+ years experience in conventional machining operations (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.). Ability to maintain tolerance within .0005". Ability to perform quality inspection using gauges and micrometers. Knowledge of machine tool feeds and speeds. High School Diploma or GED. Additional Skills & Qualifications CNC machining operation experience. Ability to use comparator for quality inspection. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $62400.00
