The starting salary range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hour based on experience and education. Colfax Ave., Denver 80202) at the start of the shift and then patrol an assigned area of the City on foot and/or in a vehicle for the remainder of the shift. Scheduling assignments are determined using a rolling 6-month shift bidding system. Hours/schedules can change. The shift we are hiring for is: 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM (7% shift differential) What You'll Do The Right of Way Enforcement (ROWE) Division of DOTI is seeking full-time Parking Enforcement Agents! We are looking for dedicated, detail-oriented individuals who excel in customer service and enjoy working in a dynamic, outdoor environment. As a Parking Enforcement Agent II, you will: Be an ambassador of the City of Denver to visitors and citizens who is responsible for enforcing compliance with parking regulations through the issuance of citations for violations of the revised municipal code, state statutes and rules and regulations governing parking Monitor and report issues of non-compliance within the framework of the city's micro-mobility program Ensure that permitted valet operators are operating within the parameters of their permit Perform inspections of various items placed in the public right of way to include tables, chairs and railings Perform inspections for the temporary outdoor expansion program for restaurants as administrative citations Prepare case paperwork and documentation for legal review as needed Attend court if subpoenaed Answer Dispatch calls for service Assist in ROWE l Agent duties as needed such as Towing & street sweeping assignments Utilize several software programs to document and track cases Interact on a regular basis with business owners in order to educate and gain compliance Issue series of administrative orders including correction orders for non-compliance as well What You'll Bring Our ideal candidate will have: Outstanding customer service skills. Ability to stay calm under pressure and defuse tense situations. Strong time management skills. Strong professional communication skills including business writing and documentation. Strong organizational skills Required Minimum Qualifications Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.Experience Requirement:
Two (2) years of experience as a Right-of-Way Enforcement Agent I.Education/Experience Equivalency:
Additional appropriate education may be substituted for one year of the minimum experience requirement.License/Certifications:
By position, requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application. Must obtain a Special Police Officer certification from the Executive Director of Safety's Office. This certification is required in accordance with the City Charter and the Denver Revised Municipal Code. Failure to obtain the certification will result in the withdrawal of the offer for the position or end probationary status.
