REQUIREMENTS:
Fingerprint Clearance. There is a fingerprint processing fee payable by the employer post-offer / pre-placement. Tuberculosis. The applicant will need to submit evidence that he or she is free from tuberculosis in accordance with Education Code 49406 post-offer / pre-placement. Offer of employment is contingent upon passing a post-offer / pre-placement physical. 5 years school bus driving experience required. Class B license with passenger and air brake endorsements required. California school bus driver certificate required. First aid certificate or pass CHP first aid exam required.QUALIFICATIONS

February 2011 SUMMARY Under general direction, assists the Director, Transportation and Fleet Management in scheduling of routes, field trips and bus assignments; and to do job-related work as required.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other job-related duties may be assigned. Performs bus driver duties as required; drives shuttle route; schedules and assigns substitutes to cover bus routes when regular drivers are absent; schedules and assigns extra trips and buses; assists in scheduling an efficient and effective routing system; schedules and conducts effective school bus safety and evacuation programs for drivers and students safety; assists the Director of Transportation in checking roadways during inclement weather; assists parents and individuals with questions and concerns dealing with pupil transportation; provides staff with estimates on trip costs; operates a 2-way radio, analyzes situations and adopts an effective course of action; and performs related duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Possession of a valid California Class B license with passenger and air brake endorsements; California school bus driver certificate, first aid certificate or pass the California Highway Patrol First Aid exam.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
