Position Overview:
They are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Analyst to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in managing the Accounts Payable lifecycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with various departments to uphold the company's financial integrity and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Invoice Management:
Review and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Vendor Communication:
Engage with vendors to resolve discrepancies and maintain positive relationships.
Payment Processing:
Prepare and execute payments, adhering to established schedules and procedures.
Account Reconciliation:
Conduct monthly reconciliations of key balance sheet and vendor accounts.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
Work closely with front and middle office teams to ensure seamless financial operations.
Reporting:
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analyses to support decision-making.
Scope and Impact:
Systems Utilized:
SAP, Rightangle, BW, Excel.
Business Units:
Trading, Supply & Logistics US Refined Products, RINS.
Assets Managed:
US Refining.
Geographic Focus:
Operations in both Canadian and US markets.
Functional Areas:
Financial Settlement and Reporting.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in Accounts Payable or a related role.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel skills; experience with Rightangle is advantageous.
Industry Experience:
Background in oil, gas, or refined product marketing/trading is a plus.
