Acoustic Consultant Polysonics Corp Warrenton, VA 20186 • Hybrid work Polysonics is a leader in the acoustics, audio-visual and technology design industry. We work with over 100 of the largest architects (6 of the top 6) and developers across most commercial end markets (Education, Government, Hospitality, Healthcare, Courthouses, Performing Arts). We're seeking an experienced Acoustic Consultant to join our team and provide expert acoustical design and consulting services for architectural and environmental projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in acoustical design and noise control, providing expert advice, analysis, and solutions for a variety of projects in architectural, environmental, and industrial sectors. Key Responsibilities Conducting detailed field measurements and assessments Performing computer modeling and analysis of sound transmission, reverberation, and noise control Developing comprehensive acoustic design solutions for buildings, venues, and industrial projects Writing technical reports and presenting findings to clients and stakeholders Providing expert guidance on sound insulation, room acoustics, and environmental noise control Ensuring projects meet local noise regulations and building code requirements Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (architecture, engineering, MEP, low voltage) throughout project lifecycles Qualifications 4-6 years' experience in the design of Acoustics and Noise Control Systems Proven experience writing and presenting impactful reports and proposals A relevant degree in Acoustics, Engineering, or a related field Advanced knowledge of sound meters and field-testing procedures Working knowledge of common architectural terms, structures, building systems and design practices Proficiency in SoundPLAN, EASE, TNM, and Insul Basic skills in AutoCad/Revit Ability to travel in the DC metro area regularly.
