Role Summary:
the vehicle engineering operations Technician is responsible for supporting operations and maintenance of vehicle testing facilities. This role includes daily operations support and customer coordination, with a strong focus on continuous improvement of testing and maintenance processes.
Responsibilities:
Support the installation and commissioning of new testing facilities. Develop, document, and implement testing and maintenance procedures in compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements. Install instrumentation, test equipment, and other components on prototype vehicles in accordance with engineering specifications, standards, and/or test procedures. Provide operational support. Plan and execute preventative maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
2-5 years of automotive testing experience; Experience with operating and maintaining climate chambers and chassis dynamometer facilities preferred. Strong technical and mechanical aptitude Fabrication experience A proven track record of problem solving an independent root cause analysis. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to produce clear, organized, and timely documentation. Team oriented mindset. Strong interest in automotive technology. Ability to work independently.
Requirements:
Must be able to pass criminal background screening, drug test, employment verification, and education verification. Have a valid California driver's license. Clean driving record with no at fault accidents or moving violations in the past three years and no DUI in the past 10 years. Authorized to work in the US.
