This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles and hands-on experience with various tools and testing equipment. The Electrical Technician will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure the efficient operation of electrical systems. You will be responsible for the installation, testing, troubleshooting and repairing of electrical equipment and devices. Duties Install and modify electrical machinery, equipment, and circuitry in industrial or commercial plants Diagnose cause of electrical or machine malfunctions. Ensure all electrical components adhere to standards. Perform field service tasks including installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment. Utilize hand tools and testing devices such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance. Repair or replace faulty wiring, circuit breakers, and other electrical components as needed. Maintain accurate records of service performed, parts used, and equipment status. Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex electrical problems. Adhere to safety protocols while working on systems and in various environments. Qualifications Proven experience as a Service Technician or in a similar role within the electrical field. Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with the ability to understand schematics and technical drawings. Proficiency in using hand tools, testing equipment, and computer hardware related to electrical work. Familiarity with low voltage systems. Excellent problem-solving skills in root cause analysis with attention to detail in diagnosing issues. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Ability to prioritize and multitask. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. Deadline and detail-oriented. This job requires wiring of electrical panels for PLC and various field instrumentation. Candidate must have experience in the use of crimping tools, soldering iron use and basic hand tools involved in electrical applications with wire sizes from 8 AWG to 24 AWG. Must understand wiring of VFDs and motors, basic low voltage AC and DC circuits and have a basic knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams and connection charts. Experience working with and populating control cabinets for PLC controllers such as Allen-Bradley and Siemens, as this will be a required skill. Candidate must be able to discern wire colors and labels. Candidate must be able to converse in fluent English, have transportation and show a previous work record.
