Floater Job Overview:
The Associate Phlebotomist plays a key role in patient interactions, ensuring a professional and compassionate experience for individuals undergoing routine health screenings and critical diagnostic testing. This position is responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens, preparing them for laboratory processing, and adhering to established procedures. The professional fosters trust and professionalism while maintaining strict confidentiality and accuracy in patient information. This role requires travel between multiple locations , including Novi, Commerce, Milford, Clarkston, and Fenton . Candidates must be flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in different patient service centers or in-office phlebotomy locations as needed.Compensation:
$33- 35/hour
Location:
West Bloomfield, MI Schedule:
M- F Shifts between 6:00 AM
- 7:00 PM (varied hours). Eastern Rotational Saturdays Every 3-4 weeks , 7:00 AM
- 12:00
PM Responsibilities:
Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties with accuracy and professionalism. Maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for patients and staff. Verify patient demographic information and obtain post-venipuncture signatures to confirm proper labeling. Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping in compliance with company and regulatory standards. Promote a positive company image through excellent customer service and professionalism. Work independently in a high-volume setting while managing multiple priorities. Adhere to company policies, including dress code, health and safety guidelines, and operational procedures. Provide coverage at multiple locations, including patient service centers and in-office phlebotomy sites, with minimal notice.Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred.Work Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. At least 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred. Prior customer service experience in a retail or service setting preferred. Proficiency in keyboarding and data entry required.Additional Requirements:
Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record.Application Notice:
