New York State Sexual Violence Prevention Resource Center:
The New York State Sexual Violence Prevention Resource Center (SVPRC) supports community-based organizations across New York State in addressing the root causes of sexual violence through capacity-building, training, and technical assistance. We work to strengthen prevention efforts through an equity-driven, community-focused approach that centers historically marginalized communities.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Training and Technical Assistance Specialist provides customized training, technical assistance, and coaching to community-based organizations while developing prevention resources, supporting evaluation efforts, and maintaining partnerships across New York State.
MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(include, but are not limited to): Provide customized training, technical assistance, and coaching to funded community-based organizations implementing prevention initiatives across New York State. Design and deliver engaging, culturally responsive learning experiences that build capacity for community-based prevention efforts. Support program development, evaluation, and reporting to strengthen prevention strategies and measure impact. Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure equitable and community-driven approaches to sexual violence prevention. Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED
Significant experience in training, facilitation, and technical assistance, especially in community engagement, public health, or social services. Strong understanding of health equity, social determinants of health, and prevention-based approaches to sexual violence. Experience designing and facilitating engaging, interactive learning experiences in both in-person and virtual settings. Exceptional communication, project management, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred:
Experience working with LGBTQ+ communities, communities of color, and survivors of violence. Familiarity with New York State's public health and human services systems. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or another language is a plus.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
