- Solicit for new business via telephone, networking, and other lead sources.
- Create & maintain client relationships with follow up phone calls.
- Educate potential clients on the importance of insurance
- how and why it's so important to have proper coverage.
- Meet new business production goals and objectives as established.
- Ask each customer for referrals and explain our referral program.
- Maintain knowledge of new products.
- Answer the phone and assist walk in customers.
- Treat each customer contact as a cross and up-sell opportunity including financial products.
- Contact businesses and private individuals by telephone to promote products, services and/or referral programs.
- Assist with ideas for Marketing and Social Media Management for the Agency Requirements
- Have a valid Property & Casualty Insurance License.
- Have 2+ years' experience selling P&C Insurance or a proven track record in sales
- Have knowledge of a commissioned sales role and have the competitive desire to earn commissions by selling insurance policies.
- Have a proven track record of dependability & reliability
- showing up to work as scheduled, on time.
- Desire to want to help educate others on insurance
- how and why it's important to have the proper coverage.
- Have an upbeat, positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Great self-starter with a sense of urgency.
- Create relationships from a cold start and be able to handle customer rejection.
- Can answer prospective clients' questions efficiently and effectively.
- Possess a genuine willingness to learn, be intuitive and resourceful and be coachable.
- Proficiency in multi-tasking, follow-thru and follow-up.
- Excellent Communication/interpersonal skills.
