This position requires skilled work in the operation of a variety of equipment related to the repair and maintenance of public utility facilities.

THIS SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION IS SUBJECT TO MANDATORY DRUG TESTING POLICIES AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Perform construction services for contractors and plumbers. Perform repair of water main breaks.

Check and maintain hydrants.

Locate, check, and maintain valves in the water distribution systems.

Responds to emergency water main breaks after hours.

Requires frequent contact with Water customers.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION

Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent and at least 6 months experience in the operation of trucks and construction equipment, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Necessary Special Requirements:

Valid driver's license. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required or the ability to obtain within 60 days of appointment or equivalent.
