Job Description
Responsibilities Include:
Apply software engineering principles, theories, and concepts to complex analytical processes and information display and visualization. Plan, develop, and implement software-engineering solutions to complex problems and major projects. Work to support project plans and requirements, establish scope, cost, and schedule estimates for design and development activities. Participate in technical reviews for projects at various phases of development and provide recommendations for computer technology solutions to customers and management. Maintain and upgrade a variety of systems, as well as develop new software capabilities. Create and review new methodologies and architectures that advance the organization's mission. Ensure compliance with INL's safety, security, environmental, health, and quality assurance requirements. Document activities, reports, and existing technologies. Write and present technical papers representing INL. Review and analyze source code and system design documentation, reports from users, and other technical artifacts to create reports and present to other staff and management assessments of code quality, the probable origin and implications of defects and anomalies, and recommendations for improvements and enhancements. Engage in professional development to maintain technical proficiency in current and emerging technologies. Utilize expertise to define strategic direction in assigned areas. Review training plans and help lead the organization forward.Minimum Requirements:
- Level 2: Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer information systems, information technology, or a related field and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Level 3: Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer information systems, information technology, or a related field and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- May accept experience in lieu of education commensurate with level (Level 2 position requires at least a High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years of relevant experience in place of degree; Level 3 requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 11 years of relevant experience in place of degree.
- Professional experience with continuous integration and deployment using Azure DevOps.
- Professional experience using Jira or a similar tool.
- U.S. Citizenship is required- Depending on work assignment, obtain and maintain Q-clearance and SCI access. The ideal candidate will possess Professional experience with RESTful APIs Professional experience with Agile, Kanban development methodologies. Professional experience with JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap.
Job Information:
- The pay range for this position is: Level 2 ($77,628 - $159,228) / Level 3 ($93,204 - $191,076).
TDP:
This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.Multi-Level:
