- Description
- Oversees the division planning function, this includes direct supervision of the planning staff and maintaining a strong working relationship with front line Supervisors, relative to planning responsibilities.
- Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications
- + High School diploma or GED
- and•eight (8) years of progressive maintenance experience in mining/mfg or industrial operations, including five (5) years in a leadership or supervisory role OR + Associates in a technical field and six (6) years related experience in field maintenance in mining/mfg or industrial operations, including three (3) years in a leadership or supervisory role OR + Bachelor's degree in applicable field •and•four (4) years of progressive maintenance experience in mining/mfg or industrial operations including supervisory or lead experience + Requires strong mentoring capabilities in the areas of: leadership, professionalism, organization/technical skills, etc.

- Criteria/Conditions
- + Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English + Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards + Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment + Work is in a mine or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles + While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and sit, and may frequently climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see + Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects up to twenty (20) pounds during the course of the workday + Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, or manufacturing plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required + Will be required to travel up to twenty percent (20%) of the time + Freeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/ alcohol free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as per applicable State Laws •What We Offer You•The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently •$85,000-$116,500•.
