Work is subject to inside and warehouse environmental conditions. Work is performed with a high degree of independence. This position will support both the Research & Development Manager and the Engineering Department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Make plumbing and electrical repairs as needed for storage bins and cold rooms.
  • Maintains accurate repair logs and record standard operating procedures.
  • Assisting with the daily physical cleanliness of the workshop.
  • Performs general welding and metal work as needed.
  • Working experience with machine shop equipment including, power tools, lathe, mill, saws, drill press, break.
  • Perform routine shop maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or other preventive maintenance actions.
  • Ensure proper and safe functioning of power tools and equipment for fabricating manufacturing parts
  • Electrical control panel wiring, layout, routing, wiring termination, grounding, and labeling.
  • Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings/CAD drawings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse operation
  • Ability to follow established policies and procedures
  • Ability to maintain and keep accurate records
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Able to communicate effectively in oral and written forms
  • Able to follow instructions and organize work duties accordingly
  • Able to be flexible in work assignments and accept changes in duties and work assignments as needed
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
  • Graduation from high school and four years of experience in a related position or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Welding skills a must.
