$53,276 EMT-Basic Stipend $600Annual Total:
$53,876+ Qualifying Overtime = $54,936 Hazardous Material Technician Stipend is Available for Qualified Candidates- $600 Annually EMT-Paramedic Stipend is available for Qualified Candidates
- $6,000 Annually Firefighter II Promotion ($59,718) is available after successfully obtaining State Firefighter Certification.

- Applicant must obtain a MS State EMT license through the Mississippi Health Department within 1 year of employment or offering.
- Applicant must obtain and maintain a MS EMS Driver License in order to drive an ambulance and/or other department vehicles under routine and emergency conditions.
- Applicant must become a Certified Firefighter and/or be able to gain reciprocity to the State of Mississippi Minimum Standards Board within 1 year of employment or offering.

- All candidates will be required to successfully complete all Physical ability tests for Firefighter.
- All candidates will be given direction and time to prepare for the tests prior to the actual date.
