Vacation Relief Driver 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars 5542 W Grand River Ave, Lansing, MI 48906 Phillips Pet Food & Supplies is now hiring a Class A CDL Driver at our Lansing, Michigan facility We are looking for a dependable Tractor Trailer Truck Driver to transport to our customers. Truck Driver responsibilities include delivering, picking up, and unloading designated shipments along with other duties as assigned. As a truck driver, you should have a valid commercial driver's license (CDL A), an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR), and be willing to travel throughout our service area. The ideal candidate must have regional trucking experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to assess and resolve any situation to be successful in this role The best jobs in the trucking industry are at Phillips Pet. Days of Position:
Tuesday- Friday! starting at 7 am. 10-hour days. There may be instances to cover any overnight layover routes
Pay:
up to $27.00/hour $30 per diem per night- 40+ hours guaranteed
Your Responsibilities:
Both stage and remove trailers into and out of bay doors as needed. Shuttle and stage trailers between all company warehouses. Transport tractors, trailers, straight trucks, and any and/or all other equipment back to and from equipment vendors and repair shops. The pickup vendor supplied products from various vendors Support Jockey position as needed Make volume-size deliveries to customers only on an as-needed basis. Ensure that the workload that is tendered to you is completed in a timely and efficient manner. Prepare all required assigned documentation, including daily logs and reports, in accordance with Phillips Feed policies Maintain and protect all company property entrusted to the driver Participates in a safety culture that includes no recordable accidents and no loss of time injuries. Always make a safe choice. Ensures proper PPE is used at all times. Watches out for co-workers and warns them when there are any safety issues or hazards. Participates actively in all safety programs and activities. Maintain all certifications required by DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and company safety programs Why it's great to drive with

Position Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) CDL Class A License with minimum of one year driving experience Must have an excellent driving record with minimum of one year experience Solid understanding and compliance with DOT regulations and requirements.
