Cardinal Health announces location of pharmaceutical distribution center for over-the-counter products Location/Shift This position will be an on-site position (5 days per week), based out of theConsumer Health Logistics Center Second Shift:
Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm Responsibilities Acts as lead mechanic for Maintenance shift team. Primary point of contact for Honeywell technician for day-to-day work activities. Supports/coaches junior mechanics and escalates issues to Maintenance and Engineering Manager as needed. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on Honeywell automation systems, including conveyors, sorters, automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), robots, and material handling equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues on Honeywell and other automated systems using diagnostic tools and technical schematics. Monitor system performance and address inefficiencies, bottlenecks, or recurring issues to improve reliability and uptime. Collaborate with the operations team to understand and respond to maintenance priorities and system performance concerns. Inspect and maintain motors, sensors, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), drives, belts, pulleys, and other automation components. Utilize Honeywell-specific software and tools to manage and analyze equipment performance data. Follow safety protocols and procedures, ensuring the safe operation of automated systems and compliance with company and regulatory standards. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, documentation, and reports, including parts inventory usage and service records. Assist with the installation, commissioning, and configuration of new Honeywell automation systems as needed. Participate in, and coordinate, ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge. Champion innovation, simplification, and standardization of current solution offerings, operating procedures, methodologies, and processes. Qualifications High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred 3+ years of experience, preferred Associate degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Automation or electrical-related field, preferred A safety-first approach to operation and maintenance of equipment Proficiency with programmable logic controller (PLC) programming and troubleshooting Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems Strong understanding of conveyor systems Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software or managing maintenance schedules and records preferred Proficiency in using hand and power tools Ability to operate a forklift, scissor lift, and other heavy machinery preferred Familiarity with industrial maintenance safety standards such as Lock Out/Tag Out Basic knowledge of network and communication protocols used in automation systems Ability to lift up to 50lbs, work in tight spaces, work at heights, and stand/walk for extended periods preferred Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail Availability for on-call rotation, overtime, and occasional weekend shifts Understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles and the connection to product flow Commitment to a work environment that shows respect for every individual through the relentless pursuit of standardized work Ability to work as part of a team, be results focused, and operate with a sense of urgency What is expected of you and others at this level Applies extensive knowledge and company policies to complete a wide range of assignments Demonstrates expert understanding of all levels of the job family and has thorough knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility Takes the lead in effectively applying new processes and skills in accomplishing assignments May provide technical guidance and training to others Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications Works on complex problems that require independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issue Makes recommendation for new or revised processes and has a role on the implementation Adheres to all quality guidelines Works with minimal degree of supervision Has latitude to make decisions in exceptional circumstances within established guidelines Provides guidance to less experienced team members May have team leader responsibilities but does not formally supervise Anticipated hourly range: $23.30 per hour - $37.70 per hour (includes shift differential) Bonus eligible:No Benefits:
