55 / Hourly Job Description Overview Fairview is looking for an Account Support Associate to support the M-Health Fairview Reference Laboratories (MRL). This is a fulltime, Day shift opening, with no weekend requirement. Provides client and sales support as requested by MRL Client Management, Billing and Consulting teams and is responsible for assisting in educating MRL clients of MRL contractual processes and laboratory practices. Responsibilities Job Description The Account Support Associate provides client and sales support to internal and external customers. This position educates clients on different opportunities, including, Lab ordering practices and billing needs.
Job Expectations:
Assists billing team on billing work queues and support billing needs. Collaborate with the MRL Billing Team/Business Management team to assess billing aging. Maintains Long Term Care service contacts for the resident validation billing program and other billing related functions. Provides client and sales support. Education support partner on lab supplies, test directories and online billing. Overall partnership of MRL Outreach client to reference laboratory. Basic ability to use a computer and applications that are associated with performing basic work tasks (navigate in Windows, Outlook, epic EHR, etc.). Develop effective rapport with customers, co

Ability to organize and express information and ideas in written form to individuals as well as groups. Construct messages that are clear and convincing. Demonstrates behavior consistent with the standards, scope of practice, ethics, and characteristics of a licensed professional. Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Education High School graduate or equivalent Experience 5 years' experience in a clinical laboratory with a client support focus;
  • OR•5 years' experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting with a client/patient support focus;•OR•1 year experience if background is Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).
Preferred Education Completion of Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) program. License/Certification/Registration Possess Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) approved laboratory certification. ASCP, ASCPi, AMT, or AAB•
MLS, MLT Additional Requirements:
General knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and instruments.
