This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage and benefits package. The position involves rotating 12-hour shifts (day and night), with additional extended hours available or required occasionally. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in and contribute to the execution and enhancement of plant safety and environmental programs. Provide operational support on a cross-functional team to meet line waste, uptime, and production goals. Serve as the technical expert on equipment processes and their electrical sub-components (sensors, motors, drives, etc.) for your shift. Collaborate with shift industrial technicians and operations leads to identify and resolve process issues. Support and assist in line operations and quality testing as needed. Excel in both radio/face-to-face communication and larger audience communication via digital platforms to update work status, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and follow-up tasks. Perform planned maintenance and prioritize tasks alongside other operational needs. Manage inventory of parts for electrical maintenance and repair projects, and retrieve necessary items from the parts room. Conduct electrical repairs on various equipment, following standard procedures and guidelines. Select, install, configure, and calibrate instruments and devices, and test equipment for safety and efficiency. Program new plant equipment or modify existing programs, as required. Train plant personnel on new systems and update safety documentation (LOTO and SOP). Operate equipment and use tools, such as voltage measuring devices, PLCs, and HART communicators, for troubleshooting and work completion. Bend, hang, and run conduit, as well as pull electrical cable when necessary. Collaborate with plant personnel on continuous improvement initiatives for equipment, processes, and documentation. Contribute to 5S programs and maintain high housekeeping standards within the plant.Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, with a high school diploma or GED, OR a minimum of 3 years of professional experience with an associate degree.Preferred experience includes:
Process control and troubleshooting Roofing manufacturing or related processes Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC experience NEC and Electrical Distribution Knowledge Physical Requirements /Work Environment:
Work duties will take place both in an office environment and on the production floor. Mandatory PPE, including a hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and ear protection, must be worn on the production floor. The role requires occasional extended hours, including troubleshooting, project implementation, and training. Must be able to lift and move up to 10 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 25 pounds. The job is subject to a variety of environmental conditions, including exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, odors, airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions.
