The ideal candidate will have experience operating skid steers and other heavy machinery, demonstrating a strong mechanical aptitude. As a Skid Steer Operator, you will play a crucial role in various construction projects, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities Operate skid steers and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently on job sites. Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance. Assist in the preparation of sites for construction including grading and paving. Collaborate with team members to execute project plans and meet deadlines. Transport materials using trailers as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly. Skills Proficient in heavy equipment operation, particularly skid steers. Experience with backhoe operation is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues. Familiarity with grading techniques and clearing. Ability to operate machinery effectively Commercial driving experience is beneficial for transporting materials. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
