Work Environment:
Office and Production Floor The Production Scheduler is responsible for scheduling all aspects of customer orders on the Manufacturing Floor, in order to meet the customer needs and accounting for production capabilities. Review incoming order volumes and making outsourcing recommendations. Share best practices and support intercompany order and resource sharing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Review the load and capacity of assigned work centers on a regular basis. Meet as needed with manufacturing to review work center capacity, develop a plan to meet the required load with available resources and discuss any manufacturing issues. Move orders as necessary to optimize each work center, meet due dates to internal and external customers, based upon material availability and to support the capacity plan previously developed. Review various reports daily and take appropriate actions as recommended by the report. Release and maintain shop orders/labels daily based upon material availability, the plan previously developed and as needed to support manufacturing. Work closely with purchasing and operations to take proactive steps to counter material, equipment and/or labor outages when they occur. Recommending schedule changes when appropriate. Serve as an interface with the MDM team and customer service to support manufacturing. Initiate, log, follow-up and track hot and late orders. Act as point person for elevated orders expedite requests (get details and share verbally and via hot order list) Support manufacturing by assisting in the resolution of inventory discrepancies, expedite resolution to field install or quality issues. Make changes to planning data as directed by the Master Scheduler. Communicate efficiently with both internal and external customers. Develop and maintain accurate work instructions to support KI's Quality policy. Maintain Solid Product knowledge Support production as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION High School Diploma or Equivalent required Associates degree preferred Leadership training, Lean Manufacturing training or formalized Leadership/Lean education helpful
EXPERIENCE
Experience working in a manufacturing industry preferred
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
