Position is Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. We offer insurance, PTO, and paid holidays when office is closed. Restaurant experience a plus however, Sage Intact experience is required!
DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
Bookkeeping:
Record and maintain financial transactions, including accounts payable (bills and invoices), accounts receivable (customer payments), and general ledger entries.
SAGE EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED!
Data Entry:
Enter financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets with a high degree of accuracy. •
Reconciliation:
Perform regular bank statement reconciliations to ensure that financial records match actual bank balances. •
Financial Reporting:
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and summaries for management or regulatory purposes. •
Expense Tracking:
Monitor and track company expenses, ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines. •
Accounts Payable:
Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payment. •
Accounts Receivable:
Prepare and send invoices to customers, follow up on overdue payments, and record payments received. •
Payroll Support:
Assist with payroll processing, including timekeeping, payroll calculations, and ensuring payroll taxes are accurately withheld and paid. •
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws. •
Documentation:
Maintain organized and well-documented financial records for auditing purposes. •
Financial Analysis:
Assist in financial analysis, including variance analysis and budget vs. actual analysis. •
Problem Solving:
Investigate and resolve discrepancies or accounting errors. •
Communication:
Communicate with internal teams, external vendors, and clients to resolve accounting-related issues or inquiries. •
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/EXPERIENCE
• A high school diploma is typically the minimum requirement, but many employers prefer candidates with an associate's degree or higher in accounting or a related field. •
Accounting Software:
Sage experience is required. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant tools is a plus.
