Integrated Business Planning East West Tea is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Scheduler to join our Integrated Business Planning (IBP) team. In this role, you will proactively maintain and enhance the production schedule, ensuring materials are available to meet production demands and drive efficiencies across the supply chain. As a Production Scheduler, you play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate execution of the Supply Plan provided by the Supply Planner. This dynamic position requires a proactive, detail-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating across teams. Your work ensures the seamless execution of Supply Plan, directly contributing to the company's success. WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Collaboration 20% of time Coordinate and expedite manufacturing builds to meet Supply Plan. Collaborate with Plant Supervisors, Operators, Procurement, Distribution, and Customer Service to coordinate production activities, resolve complaints, and minimize delays. Act as the primary point of contact for resolving scheduling conflicts or disruptions. Partner with Supply Planner & Project Managers to ensure production schedules align with launch timelines and inventory needs for new product rollouts. Work with Procurement and suppliers to ensure lead times are optimized, and alternative sourcing plans are in place for critical materials. Process 55% of time Utilize the Exact MRP system to auto-generate manufacturing work orders. Compile and maintain key data, including production rates, material inventories, and customer details. Review production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to identify personnel and material needs. Develop, manage, and adjust production schedules to align with the Supply Plan and operational needs, material shortages, and interruptions working closely with Management, Customer Service, Sourcing, and Production. Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, such as maintaining routings and BOMs to enhance schedule accuracy and efficiency reporting. Identify opportunities for reducing waste in collaboration with production and maintenance. Model material runouts and allocation scenarios for shortages, end-of-life products, and allocations. Tools 25% of time Synthesize data from various sources to maintain appropriate inventory levels. Apply strategic thinking and creativity to develop and optimize the company's MRP system, ensuring efficient planning and scheduling for production, inventory, and purchasing. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as schedule adherence, production lead times, and material utilization, reporting findings to the IBP Manager and cross-functional teams. Support with the implementation of tools like ABC analysis or material segmentation to prioritize high-impact materials and align procurement with production needs.
WHAT YOU KNOW AND HAVE EXPERIENCED
2+ years in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or a related field Preferred strong analytical capabilities with proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel Prefer manufacturing plant scheduling, lean manufacturing, and food, beverage, or dietary supplement industries Familiarity with raw materials, production processes, quality control, and cost management strategies
