Specializing in full-service management of HOAs and apartments, we are seeking a versatile Assistant Property Manager & Bookkeeper in the San Francisco Presidio. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., offering a competitive salary (commensurate with experience), health care benefits, 401k, and vacation. Our ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, and enjoys multi-tasking a variety of responsibilities. You will assist with managing and overseeing properties to ensure client satisfaction, timely maintenance of our clients' SF properties, and comprehensive bookkeeping tasks. This position requires initiative, flexibility, excellent communication, and the ability to work as a team player.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Property Management Tasks:
Prepare mailings and meeting packets. Coordinate and monitor maintenance contracts and work orders with vendors. Assist the Managers with reviewing monthly financial statements, annual disclosure packets, and transfer packets. Receive, handle, and transfer phone calls, greeting office visitors promptly and courteously. Draft correspondence and respond to inquiries and client concerns in a professional and timely manner. Learn and become proficient with Enumerate Central Software. Provide administrative support to the team.
Bookkeeping Tasks:
Maintain and update accurate financial records for all managed properties. Assist with tracking and recording daily financial transactions, including property income and expenses. Process invoices, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Assist with payroll processing, union dues reports, and managing employee timesheets. Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements and deadlines.
SKILLS:
Effective communication skills (oral, written, and listening). Demonstrate problem-solving skills. Ability to deal courteously with callers and visitors. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to work under pressure, consistently meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards. Tech-savvy candidates are a plus!
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma (required). Previous experience in customer service, real estate, property management, or bookkeeping (preferred). Familiarity with Enumerate Central Software is preferred but not required.
