Internship - Human Resources Internship South Portland, ME, USA 17.00 per hour Hourly Part Time This internship requires that all applicants be full-time residents of Maine or attend a college or university in Maine.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT

The Human Resources and Professional Development department's diverse responsibilities include employee relations, recruitment, training, benefits,pensation, health, and safety. Human Resource employees collect, review, and process pre-employment paperwork; conduct background screenings; create and maintain employee personnel records; and help develop content for Spurwink's internalmunications. In addition, HR employees attend recruitment events throughout the year to attract talent for theiranization.

INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES

As an intern, you will be able to assist the Human Resources team with the diverse work of their department. You will meet weekly as a cohort to help form camaraderie, experiences, and learn from knowledgeable Spurwink employees.

REQUIREMENTS

Hybrid Position (2 days in office/ 2 days working from home)

Program Duration:

10 weeks (June 2nd - August 8th) 4 days a week (8 hours per day) Ability tomute to the Greater Portland area two days a week. Have an interest in Human Resources. Experience with Microsoft 365. Create a capstone project sharing educational goals, skills learned, and your experiences. Attend a weekly reflection session with a cohort of interns. Attend a weekly meeting with a supervisor.
