Qualifications:
Current WI LPN license or graduate of an accredited medical assisting program Ability to interpret payer policies and guidelines Intermediate knowledge of medical terminology PC/typing and telephone experience Excellent customer relations, organization, planning and prioritization skills Experience with DME, prior Epic experience; and previous experience in a clinic setting preferred. Medical Assistant Podiatry Coordinator•
Responsibilities:
Maintains necessary paperwork for department related to Orthopedics, DME, AFO Verifies patient insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage, Supplies information to payers including medical information and/or a letter of medical necessity for determination of benefits Ensures prior certification, authorization, and referral requirements are met prior to delivery of services Ensures compliance with payer contracts Documents necessary information in patient's medical record Serves as back up for rooming patients
