please visit our careers site: www.amentumcareers.com The work schedule for this role is On-Site, Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm with a 1-hour lunch , however, various hours may be required based on business demand. As a Lab Instrument Services (LIS) Technician 2 , you will be responsible for daily support activities, including: Responding to work orders, executing preventive maintenance (PM) and calibration service, troubleshooting, and basic repairs on laboratory instrumentation including Incubators/Shakers, Centrifuges, Balances, Water Purification Systems, Slide Warmers, Microplate Readers and Stackers, Plate Washers, Small Vacuum Pumps, Microscopes, Water Baths, (UPS) Uninterrupted Power Supplies, and other laboratory equipment to ensure uninterrupted operation of essential instrumentation, controls, and scientific equipment. Effectively communicating with the site management team and the client. Calibrating process instrumentation, testing for Speed, Temperature, Humidity, Weight, Pressure, etc. Utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track, schedule calibration, and maintenance records for lab process equipment. Utilizing beginning- intermediate mechanical and electrical skills to complete assignments. Responding and providing service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations, and industry standards. Operating a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers, and test standards (TMDE) to perform work. Maintaining a strict on-site schedule to be successful in the assignment yet demonstrating flexibility in the day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer. Performing functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and wearing PPE as required. Identifying and documenting cost savings. Performing other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Program Manager. Consistent and timely oral and written communications Excellent interpersonal skills, i.e., listening to customer needs, articulating path forward and giving solutions that provide value to the customer, etc. Accurately document electronic and paper cataloging system to provide information to customer or regulatory personnel. Strive for quick complaint resolution; to resolve problems on the first call and avoid escalation of issues through operational knowledge. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent 3-5 years of job-related experience or equivalent 1-2 years of experience in preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair service on laboratory/scientific instrumentation, or medical devices in a laboratory, research and development, hospital, or industrial environment. Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, writing skills, and aptitude for detail. Ability to prioritize, work independently, and with a team. Ability to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use and be able to successfully complete a fit test for several types of respirators. Ability to obtain a security access badge at our client's location. Ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen. Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line. Must be willing to work overtime, holidays, weekends, various shifts, rotation, and alternative work schedules. Ability to obtain an appropriate driver's license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, as requested. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.Note:

military training for Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET)Certification:
CBET Experience working in a GLP or similar regulated environment such as hospitals, biomedical or pharmaceutical campuses. Ability to read and understand repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams. Mechanical aptitude and experience in a variety of laboratory equipment, including but not limited to centrifuges, incubators, balances, water purification systems, plate washers, and other specialized machines used in a pharmaceutical research environment. Strong knowledge and experience with a CMMS, such as EAMS, or a related database system. Experience interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
