Provide a friendly, customer-focused approach to ensure staff receive timely support. Linux Administration / DevOps (50% of responsibilities) Configure, maintain, and monitor Linux (primarily Ubuntu) servers for optimal performance and uptime. Perform system updates, security patches, backups, and performance tuning. Implement basic network and system security best practices. (Bonus) If you have experience with DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, or infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Ansible, Terraform), help automate deployment processes and streamline workflows. Collaboration & Growth Work closely with other technical teams, including any developers who rely on our infrastructure. Provide feedback on improving processes, documentation, and system reliability. Stay current on emerging tools and technologies to optimize IT operations. Assist with LAMP-based web application troubleshooting and development as needed. Requirements 2+ years of experience providing hands-on technical support (hardware, software, basic networking). Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and/or Linux client operating systems. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Linux Administration Experience managing Linux servers, preferably Ubuntu. Understanding of basic networking principles (DNS, DHCP, firewalls). Familiarity with server monitoring, backups, and security patching. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve common server-related issues. Organization & Teamwork Strong ability to prioritize, document, and track tasks. Comfortable collaborating with both technical and non-technical colleagues. Bonus LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) stack knowledge for troubleshooting and development tasks. Exposure to DevOps tools and practices (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible).
