out of 5 stars Grand Rapids, MI 49505 Knape & Vogt is looking for a skilled Machine Repair (Maintenance) Technician to join our industry leading team on 1st shift! The ideal technician will be able to train on 1st shift. What You Will Get To Do:
Perform advanced repairs to manufacturing equipment including roll mills, stamping presses and assembly equipment, plating & powder coat lines Troubleshoot major mechanical and/or electrical problems Perform more preventative maintenance Assist with design changes for machines Other duties as assigned
What You Will Bring:
At least 2 years of experience as a machine repair technician in a manufacturing setting A High School Diploma or GED Valid driver's license journeyman's card is a plus Understanding of electrical, mechanical, air, hydraulic and other systems, knowledge of advance maintenance processes and methods, Advanced understanding of electrical, mechanical, air, hydraulic, and other systems, working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices and ability to read blueprints Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization The ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently and effectively
