Mission:

The Accounts Payable Specialist ensures the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions, maintains financial records, and supports vendor management. This role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process all accounts payable invoices and check requests, ensuring proper approvals and accurate general ledger coding.
• Reconcile vendor statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Review and process employee out-of-pocket expenses and receipts for reimbursement.
• Manage vendor setup and maintain accurate records for existing vendors.
• Investigate and resolve vendor payment disputes in a timely and professional manner.
• Follow up with field leaders on unapproved invoices to ensure timely payments.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable records and backup documentation.
• Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Great Plains is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information.
• Experience in multi-unit restaurant or retail environments preferred.
