Corpus Christi | Information Technology | Temporary $ 27.61-31.75 USD Grade Overview The IT Application Analyst I is responsible for managing and maintaining software applications to meet departmental business operational needs. This position will serve as a liaison between the IT department and end users. It will provide technical support, analyze system requirements, develop reports, test new configurations with end users, and troubleshoot application configurations. Responsibilities
  • Basic working knowledge of application, databases, and client-server concepts
  • Stays current on emerging application software technologies, as appropriate for the application(s) supported
  • Participates in application evaluation, development, design, installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance
  • Manages development of applications and information systems
  • Monitors application for compliance with IT standards and policies
  • Reviews and analyzes enhancements
  • Basic knowledge of methods and techniques for evaluating software application requirements
  • Participates along with other IT team members, in requirements definitions, identifying end user operational and customer service delivery needs
  • Assists in developing functional specifications used to procure and deploy specialized applications
  • Provides technical expertise and assistance in designing and developing applications
  • Assists in creating reports for customers and staff using enterprise reporting tools
  • Organize and conduct conference calls and prepare document based on status meetings
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to maintain efficiency, consistency, and achieve successful implementation of applications
  • Create standard procedures for applications
  • Prepare and present change management items
  • Collaborates with team to create test plans, analyze test cases, identify issues, and escalate them to appropriate teams
  • Performs application testing
  • Performs other related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required. Position Type and Typical Hours of Work
  • Temporary - Full-Time
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is a schedule requirement

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • No prior experience required Licenses and Certifications Required
  • Must pass a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Background Check
  • A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire Employment Testing Employment is contingent on passing any post-offer pre-employment screening as listed below:
