Job Description

Trailer Technician Precision Heavy Haul, Inc. Tolleson, AZ 85353 PHH is looking for a skilled Trailer Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty, muti-axle Heavy Haul trailers and equipment, ensuring peak performance. You'll work in a team-focused environment that prioritizes quality, service and safety. Getting to work with massive machinery and heavy-duty equipment every day—it's like living in a construction site playground.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fleet trailers. Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, and structural issues. Work with air brakes, suspension, lighting, hydraulics, and small engines. Maintain accurate repair records and input data into maintenance software. Collaborate with other technicians for efficient service scheduling. Collaborate with vehicle drivers to assess trailer functionality. Keep the shop clean and organized while following safety protocols.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (vocational/technical certification preferred). 1-2 years of mechanical experience (automotive or diesel repair preferred). Experience in trailer maintenance and repair. Knowledge of trailer systems, components, and diagnostic tools. Problem-solving skills and ability to work as part of a team. Basic computer skills and ability to learn new technology. Must have basic tools or be able to acquire them (specialty tools provided). Welding or fabrication experience is a plus. Physical stamina and ability to handle heavy-duty repairs. This role is safety-sensitive, ensuring compliance with Department of Transportation and company standards.
