4700 Elmore Rd, Example of Duties Under general direction within the Planning Department, Current Planning Division, employee will perform professional level planning work. The position is responsible for reviewing land use entitlement applications and developing staff reports, interacting with the general public, land development professionals and staff from other departments and agencies on responding to planning questions and problems, and for making public presentations to Boards and Commissions and at community meetings and other public forums. Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent and eight (8) years of professional urban planning experience, which includes one (1) year of urban planning experience with the Municipality or the equivalent elsewhere. OR Associate's Degree in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Statistics, or a related discipline and six (6) years of professional urban planning experience, which includes one (1) year of urban planning experience with the Municipality or the equivalent elsewhere. OR Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Statistics or a related discipline and four (4) years of professional urban planning experience, which includes one (1) year of urban planning experience with the Municipality or the equivalent elsewhere. OR Master's Degree in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Statistics or a related discipline and two (2) years of professional urban planning experience, which includes one (1) year of Urban Planning experience with the Municipality or the equivalent elsewhere. All applicants must possess and/or obtain: Valid State of Alaska Driver's License with satisfactory at time of hirePreferences:

The statement of service must be on a form or letterhead of the individual's command organization and show the name, signature, title and contact information for the signer providing the statement of service.
