JOB SUMMARY
Marki Microwave Equipment Engineering Technicians are responsible for supporting production and development staff with operation, maintenance, and programming of various manufacturing equipment. This role will require access to access information controlled under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR, 15 CFR §§ 730-780),and likely the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR, 22 CFR §§ 120-130), and so applicants for this position must be one of a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or other Protected Individual (as defined under 8 USC § 1324b(a)(3)).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform set up, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all production equipment including Ovens, Wire Bonders, Automated handlers, Automated Equipment, Laser marking machines, paint booths, microscopes, handling of chemicals, etc. Recommend, create, & implement preventative maintenance & calibration schedules for capital equipment Research, recommend & order equipment, tooling, maintenance supplies, replacement parts, production material, & tooling. Research and recommend repairmen/vendors for scheduling maintenance, repairs, and calibration. Research, identify, and implement new machinery, process, or technologies Collaborate cross functionally to schedule operator training and execute training in a timely manner Cross train fellow Technicians on new equipment operation, programming, & troubleshooting Create procedures, troubleshooting guides, and specs for new processes and machinery. Use 2D and/or 3D CAD to reference drawings/dimensions, create drawings, and design tooling/fixturing Program automated equipment for new product lines and processes Assist Engineering staff in production and prototyping of products including running experiments, testing, tuning, proto build, reflow, etc. Troubleshoot RF test set-ups Work with small hand tools, tweezers, and fixtures Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems on advanced manufacturing equipment through reading schematics, drawings, & diagrams Track and execute multiple on-going projects on-time. Use Microsoft office to track PM schedules, create presentations, document processes, etc. Communicate with cross-functional team members and management via written or verbal forms Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED required, some college is preferred 10+ years' experience as a Maintenance / Equipment Technician or applicable experience 1-2 years' experience in RF or electronics industry preferred
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Experience maintaining various type of electrical and mechanical machinery Ability to create preventative maintenance schedules Experience with soldering irons or soldering process Can perform basic electrical testing with a multi-meter Can understand and create drawing specifications, schematics, and written instructions Experience with hand tooling, power tools, and heavy machinery such as; wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, vises, clamps, mills, lathes, presses, etc. Experience programming automation equipment through UI, code, or PLC's is a plus Experience with troubleshooting broken equipment, tooling, & machinery Knowledge of motors, servos, pulleys, linear actuators, and other power transmission systems is a plus Experience with pneumatic tubing, fittings, & lines Experience with CAD/AutoCAD, Inventor/Solidworks, MS Office, ability to design basic mechanical fixtures/designs using AutoCAD Experience with comprehension of specifications, drawings and written instructions Ability to suggest new tooling Researches and recommends new machines, tooling, and equipment independently Capable of training other technician's how to operate automated equipment and helps engineers with prototyping Can evaluate new equipment/tooling upon request Experience with advanced electrical & mechanical troubleshooting Excellent analytical problem-solving skills Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance
