Position Summary:
The Cash Reconciliation Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely posting of our payments and adjustments.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Initiating ERA (electronic remittance advice) set up with clearinghouse and/or third-party portals. Initiating EFT (electronic funds transfer) set up with payers & third-party portals. Assist in vendor support of daily cash reconciliation duties. Clear understanding of RCM Payment Posting Processing (ERA/Manual Posting) of Line-Item Payments/Denials. Clear understanding of reconciling offset/recoupment payer remits. Call carriers and third parties to resolve unidentified payments/reconcile items. Assist the Reimbursement Supervisor with various projects. Minimum High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of five (5) years of Medical Billing and payment posting/ reconciliation experience. Familiarity with medical billing software.Knowledge, Competencies & Skills:
Excellent customer service skills. Proficient knowledge of Medical Terminology, ICD, and CPT Codes. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word Accurate and efficient data entry skills. Excellent customer service skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient computer software and database skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Experience with ERA/EFT Enrollment Process. Experience with supporting outside vendor relationship Experience with cash reconciliation/balancing. Tech Requirements for theJob:
High-speed, reliable internet connection to ensure uninterrupted communication and access to necessary systems and tools. Quiet and private work environment to maintain confidentiality and minimize background noise during calls. Proficiency in using remote collaboration tools, such as video conferencing software, instant messaging platforms, and customer relationship management systems. Compliance with all security and privacy policies and protocols, including safeguarding patient information and maintaining HIPAA compliance.Direct Reports:

Regularly required to sit and stand for extended periods. Involves standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, and twisting.
